This way fans kick in instantly when gaming and stay close to max. Mac Fan Control: Lowered Max Temp to 72 from 86. Might be very bad optimization to be honest. For the most part the temps when gaming are hovering stable at around 65-80C with a max peak of 94C and occasionally spiking to 99C which I still cannot figure out as to why.

To add, I tried the full 8 and 6 cores, full turbo, no turbo and nothing really made mac feel like a decent machine as running with just 4 cores. However if you are like playing FPS and need silky smooth experience I recommend to start with the above settings. I feel like for anything other than the first person shooter you might get a way with slightly stronger config.

Absolutely amazing! Feel free to tune the above as you like. Max registered T is 92C and this is after plying CSGO deathmatch for 3 hours. Running CSGO like a butter without throttling VRM memory or reaching 100C on any cores. Multiplier Mac Fan Control > sensor based on CPU PECI at 36C max 72C for both CPU and GPU fans (you can change this as you like but this setting is to keep your computer from reaching 100C). Disabled 5500m in the device manger. TurboThrottle settings: TPL Power limit control > checked only PL1 + clamp at 34W. Worked like a charm!įor anyone interested in stabilizing temps/performance on 16' MacBookPro + M5500: Installed 1903V1 while having egpu plugged in (not sure if that matters but I had it plugged in to the bottom left usb-c port).
